For the Girls

Hey, all. I know it's been a while. I had a bit of a dry spell for the last few months while I was simultaneously trying to finish longer works and non-erotic works. But I'm back, and I've got a story being published in the For the Girls Ezine on October 26th! So keep an eye out for An Afternoon with Aphrodite. ;)

Abstinence

So I haven't gotten very far in the way of having erotica published. Got a rejection from Ellora's Cave and Harlequin Spice Briefs on a twisty, turny short story I was pretty proud of. But what can you expect when you start at the top of the food chain? Now it's been submitted to New Concepts Publishing, and we'll see what happens.

Also, Ruthie's Club, which was the one place that consistently accepted my work, has shut down. I hope it's only temporary.

I've received an honorable mention in a local, non-erotic, writing contest. I was pretty proud of it because I was the only honorable mention. And I'm assuming they had more than three entries in the serious short story category.

Update

So I guess it's about time for an update. I don't have anything sexy coming out anytime soon, but I have finally finished a novel, short though it may be. The query letter and first 10 pages are currently on their way to an agent. Keep your fingers crossed. I also sent something out to Ellora's Cave, so we'll see if they want to pick that up. In any case, I am still writing, so be sure to keep checking back to see what's new.

One Week

Good morning, my few but frisky followers. Just one week until Coming Together: Al Fresco is scheduled to be released.

As for me, I haven't been doing a whole lot in the erotica area. Lately, I've been getting poetry published. Good for me, but not so exciting for you. I'll do my best to pop out some more soon, and I'll keep you posted. Literally. :)

A little about me and my literotica

Hi, everyone. I've started this blog in order to update readers on where they can find my latest work. This blog will include links and information pertaining to my recent dabble in the world of erotica, under the pen name Heather Lin. I'm currently attending college in Pennsylvania as a Literary Studies major, and although I find sexy stories amazingly fun to write, my first love lies with more mainstream fiction and poetry.
